Our 7 year old's first time at Harbor Park

It was about as perfect as it gets. It was a Friday night game and the weather was threatening a thunderstorm, but it never rained, we just had dark skies and a great cool breeze off the water. Our son just finished his own second season with little league baseball and was fascinated by the loud "crack" of the bat as the balls flew all over the park. He had brought his glove and let everybody know how he was ready for a foul ball. We sat right behind the Tide's dugout and got to see some really great plays up close. He got the chance to analyze what the players were doing, why they changed their field placements for left or right batters, how the pitcher backed up the first baseman and so many more baseball strategies and rules. He (we) sampled all the different types of food & candy from savory to sugary, hot to cold and realized we could see the game from practically anywhere in the stadium and still had a great view. I like how we can use Ticketmaster well in advance to plan the games we would like to attend and choose our reserved seats for each game. I was also surprised how easy it was to get to and from Harbor Park in Norfolk as we came from Chesapeake. The summer of 2019 has just started!
